for everyone
[Also on The Geekette Speaketh]
There are three reasons why I'm currently on a baking spree on weekends nowadays.
  1. New oven has to be used to its full potential or it becomes a 6,000-peso white elephant.
  2. I keep seeing all these wonderful recipes and it's time I did something about them.
  3. Need to prove to my best friend, Art, that I am actually a good baker despite all the horror stories I've told him regarding my cooking skills.
Over the weekend I baked this particular recipe. Yesterday my officemates finally had a chance to taste the fruits of my labor. Imagine my surprise when everyone said they loved it! Surprise due to the fact that this is the first time I used this recipe.

Later in the evening, I rushed over (read: DROVE LIKE MADE ON EDSA TO REACH HIS PLACE IN THE SOONEST POSSIBLE TIME) to Art's place to give him his share of cookies. Now, why on earth was I such in a hurry? It was 9.45pm and I wanted to get to his place before 10:30. I think I got there around 10.15pm. Not bad.

So, cookies delivered. Cookies tasted. And I held my breath for his response... tis good. WHEW! Right. That proven, it's time I take a step up and do that Roman Cheesecake recipe soon. But first, I really need that springform pan. And riccota cheese. And poppy seeds.
